DAY 1. ARRIVE COSTA RICA
Our representative will greet you upon arrival and transfer you to the charming small Hotel Fleur De Lys for overnight stay.
DAY 2. SOUTH CARIBBEAN
Morning drive through the Braulio Carrillo Rainforest to Costa Ricas unspoiled southern Caribbean coast. Check into your luxurous hardwood bungalow between the white sand beach and the jungle at Hotel Cariblu.(B)
DAY 3. SOUTH CARIBBEAN
Day at leisure to enjoy the clear Caribbean Sea or optional activities such as tours to Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, Cahuita National Park, snorkeling, diving or surfing. Overnight Hotel Cariblue.(B)
DAY 4. TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast journey to Tortuguero National Park. A two and half hour boat ride will take you through the canals in the jungle rain forest. From your boat you will be able to admire the unique flora and fauna of this area. Overnight at the Laguna Lodge.(B,L,D)
DAY 5. TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
Today explore the smaller canals and get closer to nature. Explore the little village of Tortuguero or enjoy a walk on the beach. During the months of May through September you can take the optional turtle watching tour in the evening. Overnight at the Laguna Lodge.(B,L,D)
DAY 6. CARTAGO, COSTA RICA'S FIRST CAPITAL
After breakfast transfer by boat and road to Casa Turire Hotel located in Turrialba, Cartago. Check in and overnight in Casa Turire Hotel. Afternoon for leisure or optional activities such as horseback riding, boat trips, plantation tour, Guayabo Archeological Park, and many other options.(B)
DAY 7. IRAZU VOLCANO
Early start to visit the 11,260 foot-tall Irazu Volcano,the highest in Costa Rica. On clear days you can see both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. You may want to peer into the crater. Visit the Costa Rica's Old capital City of Cartago and Los Angeles Cathedral, home of Costa Rica's Virgin shrine. Continue to San Jose visiting the historical Orosi Valley and the Colonial Church, home of Costa Rica's first Spanish settlers. Overnight in Hotel Fleur De Lys in San Jose.(B)
DAY 8. DEPARTURE
Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport.(B)
